Welcome to Grosvenor Park
Miniature Railway Website. GPMR is a 7¼" gauge railway
located only a few minutes walk from Chester's historic city centre.
The railway, built in 1996 to commemorate the centenary of the Duke of
Westminster's railway at nearby Eaton Hall, is popular with young and
old alike and has become one of Chester's top tourist attractions.
We
operate steam and diesel
hauled trains, on a ¼ mile circuit around the lake in

Our new web shop is becoming more popular every day, in the eighteen months since we started it we have had over three thousand satisfied customers with more new ones every day. In April 2007 we launched the new bespoke web shop which is light, bright and fun to use, with extra's like where to find Thomas events during the year. We stock over 700 Thomas, Bob The Builder, Ivor The Engine and Underground Ernie products so why not have a look now. NEW THOMAS RIDE IS HERE!! The latest addition to our railway is an electric Thomas ride. I bought it from another railway in the south of England during May and brought it back on the back of my loco trailer. You should have seen the looks we got, with cars pulling alongside of us on the motorway to get a better look and lots of children waving. Rides are 50p for one ride or £1 for three. In its first few days it has proved to be a popular item.
The railway is now open Saturdays and Sundays 10.30am until 5.00pm. The weather is getting better and we are all looking forward to a good summer especially after such a wet and cold Easter. You can also book the railway for birthday parties for £30 for a whole hour, why don't you give me a call or email us for more details.
